Sahara Beach Club

The location is fantastic. And yes, its glory days were in the past and it’s a little rough around the edges, but so what? I wanted a cheap oceanfront room in Miami and I found it! The beach at the doorstep did not disappoint, and neither did the pharmacy, grocery, bars & restaurants across the street. I did ask about the airport shuttle - there is none. And don't think about arriving after 7:00pm, the front desk closes and apparently that's it. It seems that some of the other reviewers may not have gotten the memo that this was a budget hotel and not the Ritz Carlton, so they didn't arrive with right-sized expectations for the fantastically low price they likely paid. I checked and this was easily 70-80% lower than any other peak-season oceanfront room that I could find in Miami, and I came for the beach and not the mini-bar and room service. <mic drop>
